This booklet is about one of the highest goals of the Christian life and prayer. The Westminster Confession of Faith is right when it declares, "The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever." We should seek to enjoy God when we pray. In fact, George Mueller used to enjoy God, first in prayer, before he made his requests.
The psalmist prayed, Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle. Then will I go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God (Psalm 43:3-4).
